SOBRIETY SATURATION PATROLS SCHEDULED

The Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department will conduct two DWI saturation patrols this weekend at undisclosed locations in the county.

Sheriff's deputies will perform the saturation patrols Friday and Saturday from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m.
Patrols will be set up in areas of the county where roads are not accommodating to checkpoints. Other target areas include roads where statistics indicate high numbers of alcohol-related accidents and/or arrests in the past.

Sheriff Juan Hernandez said grant funding from the state Traffic Safety Bureau will pay for the additional personnel to work the checkpoints and saturation patrols.
