The Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department will conduct two DWI checkpoints and two DWI saturation patrols through the Labor Day weekend at undisclosed locations in the county.

As part of the national "You Drink, You Drive, You Lose" campaign, the Sheriff's Department will perform checkpoints Friday, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., and Monday, from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. Deputies will carry out saturation patrols Saturday and Sunday, both from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Sheriff Juan Hernandez said grant funding from the state Traffic Safety Bureau will pay for the additional personnel to work the checkpoints and saturation patrols.
