COUNTY SEEKS TO FILL SEATS ON INTERNAL AUDIT ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Doña Ana County is accepting applications for positions on the newly created Internal Audit Advisory Committee.

The committee will comprise two county commissioners and three county residents. Certified public accountants, accounting educators and people with strong business experience and/or educational backgrounds in finance, accounting, auditing and/or other related fields are encouraged to apply.

The Doña Ana County Internal Audit Advisory Committee will meet regularly to give direction to the county’s internal auditor about pursuing areas of interest and to hear reports of ongoing audit functions. The committee members will have wide access to county records and documented internal control systems across all departments for review. Through one of the commissioner members, the committee will regularly report to the Board of County Commissioners about any findings or recommendations for procedural changes to the county’s systems of internal controls.
