DOÑA ANA COUNTY SHERIFF'S ACADEMY TO GRADUATE 10 CADETS ON JUNE 11

The Spring '04 Doña Ana County Sheriff's Academy graduation ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2004, at the University Terrace Good Samaritan Village Auditorium.

Sheriff Juan Hernandez said 10 cadets will receive their law enforcement certifications at the graduation ceremony, which will feature remarks and/or presentations by Third Judicial District Judge Larry Ramirez, District 4 County Commissioner D. Kent Evans, Sheriff Hernandez, Lt. Ruben Barreras and Sgt. Sonny Garcia. In addition to guest speakers, the ceremony will feature an opening honor guard, the Pledge of Allegiance, an invocation and awards for academic, physical and overall achievement.

Cadets who intend to begin work for the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department include: Robert Brunhoeber, Jessie España, Jon Day, Shawn Pursifull, Paul Mace, John Duffy, Natalie Williams, Jimmy Murillo and John Phillips. Cadet Josh Brown will work for the Truth or Consequences Police force.

Graduating cadets will wear the uniform of the department they intend to serve, and they will be presented their individual badges at the conclusion of the ceremony.

University Terrace Good Samaritan Village is located at 3025 Terrace Dr., just east of Telshor Avenue in Las Cruces.
