COUNTY SEEKS ADA ADVISORY BOARD VOLUNTEER

Doña Ana County is seeking letters of interest and applications from area residents who would be interested in serving on the Americans With Disabilities Act Advisory Board.

Applications are available by contacting Doña Ana County ADA Coordinator Mary Pierce at the County Manager’s Complex at 180 W. Amador Ave. in Las Cruces. Residents who wish to have an application mailed to them may call (505) 647-7316.

Residents calling from outside the Las Cruces area may call toll-free at 1-877-827-7200 and request Extension 7316.

The advisory board meets monthly to study a broad range of issues related to ADA requirements and implementation and to assist the county in setting priorities and identifying fast-track compliance methods. Deadline for applications is 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2004.
