SHERIFF’S OFFICE AND DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE OFFER PUBLIC SAFETY FORUMS

The Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Department is partnering with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Community Policing Consortium to host public safety forums on Friday and Saturday.

The forum will bring together community leaders and law enforcement executives. Sheriff Juan Hernandez said the purpose of the forums is to “identify and involve all levels of stakeholders to develop a common vision of public safety.”

Friday’s forum is slated from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Spring Hill Suites conference room, located at 1611 Hickory Loop. The Saturday forum is scheduled from 8:30a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Mesilla Valley Inn Best Western Conference Center at 901 Avenida De Mesilla. Refreshments will be served.
