SHERIFF JUAN HERNANDEZ ANNOUNCES MESQUITE, SAN MIGUEL MEETINGS

Doña Ana County Sheriff Juan Hernandez will hold community meetings in Mesquite and San Miguel on Nov. 10 and Nov. 12, respectively.

The Mesquite meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at Mesquite Elementary School. The San Miguel meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at San Miguel Elementary School.

Hernandez said the primary purpose of the meetings is to discuss law-enforcement concerns with the residents and to bring them up to date on various initiatives and programs related to community policing and the overall philosophy of the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Department. Hernandez said he also plans to discuss general safety concerns and disaster preparedness.

Recognizing that other issues related to county services are likely to be brought up by those in attendance, Hernandez said he has invited county personnel from the Road Department, Facilities and Parks Department, Environmental Services Department and the Emergency Management Office to attend and address residents’ concerns.
