SAFETY EDUCATION CLINIC PLANNED AT TOMBAUGH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Doña Ana County’s South Valley Volunteer Fire Department has scheduled a day of activities and education at Tombaugh Elementary School on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Parents from all over Doña Ana County are encouraged to bring their children to the six-station special event designed to enhance safety at home and during recreational pursuits.

The event is free to all families and will include components related to traffic and vehicle safety, fire prevention, personal safety, medical emergencies, water emergencies, safe baby sitting and car-seat safety.

There will be fire prevention specialists and other public safety personnel on hand to guide children and their parents through basic safety precautions and responses to a variety of potential situations.
