PHONES TO COUNTY MANAGER’S COMPLEX TEMPORARILY OUT OF SERVICE

Telephone service to and from the Doña Ana County Manager’s Complex has been restored. A hardware failure shut down the phone service to the county’s main switchboard shortly after 9 a.m. Sept. 16. Technicians were able to isolate and repair the problem by about 11:30 a.m.

During the downtime, calls to the county’s main number (647-7200) were not going through, nor were calls to the following departments: County Manager, Human Resources, Legal, Public Information, Planning and Building Inspections. Some other lines may also have been affected.

For more information, call Doña Ana County Public Information Director Jess Williams at (505) 647-7229. Residents calling from outside the Las Cruces calling area may dial in toll-free at 1-877-827-7200 and request extension 7229.
