COMMISSIONER ARTURO TERRAZAS HOSTS CHAPARRAL COMMUNITY MEETING

District 2 County Commissioner Arturo Terrazas has scheduled a community meeting for his Chaparral constituents at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at the Doña Ana County Multi-Purpose Building on County Line Road in Chaparral.

Terrazas said he wants to discuss traffic issues, park maintenance, zoning, law enforcement and other issues. He said he will bring several senior county staff along to assist him in answering questions from the public and addressing concerns across a number of relevant issues.

Terrazas said he has invited Sheriff Juan Hernandez, County Manager Brian Haines, Senior Director Steve Decker, Planning Director Wayne Grinnell and Facilities and Parks Director Ken Barton. He also has arranged for a demonstration of the county’s new voting machines, and he has invited Sen. Cynthia Nava and Rep. Joseph Cervantes to attend.
