COUNTY ANNOUNCES EXTERNAL AGENCY FUNDING APPLICATION AVAILABILITY

Doña Ana County has announced its annual open application period for external agency funding for the period of July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004. Completed applications must be returned by 5 p.m., Friday, April 25, 2003. Two separate applications are available for Health Services and Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILT) funding.

Health Services funding priorities include: Primary/Prevention and Specialty Care, Life-Threatening Chronic Diseases, Maternal, Perinatal, Child and Adolescent Health, Hospice Care, and innovative projects addressing access to care, behavioral, and evolving health issues in Doña Ana County. PILT funding is for a wide variety of non Health Services related programs in Doña Ana County. Questions regarding PILT funding should be addressed to (505) 647-7214.

Eligible applicants for both types of funding include non-profit, 501c3, state, federal and quasi-government agencies. Applications for both PILT and Health Services funding may be picked up at the Doña Ana County Finance Department, 180 West Amador or 1170 North Solano, Suite N, Las Cruces, N.M.
