POLL WORKERS’ CLASSES SCHEDULED FOR THE WEEK OF OCT. 21 – OCT. 25

The Doña Ana County Bureau of Elections will hold educational classes for poll workers and the general public at the following places and times:

* Commission Chambers of the County Courthouse, 251 W. Amador Ave., Las Cruces
Monday, Oct. 21, 2002: 9-11 a.m., 1-3 p.m., and 5-7 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002: 9-11 a.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002: 9-11 a.m., and 5-7 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002: 9-11 a.m., and 5-7 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 25, 2002: 9-11 a.m., 1-3 p.m., and 5-7 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002: 9-11 a.m., and 1-3 p.m.

* Sunland Park Community Library, 3800 McNutt Rd., Sunland Park
Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002: 1-3 p.m.

* Hatch School Board Room, 450 W. Hall, Hatch
Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002: 1-3 p.m.

* Anthony Community Center, 875 Anthony Dr., Anthony
Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002: 1-3 p.m.

All classes are open to any interested persons. To become a poll worker, a resident must complete one of the two-hour classes. No reservations are required to attend a class, but class sizes are limited, so calling ahead is advised.

Each poll worker and standby poll worker chosen to work on Election Day will receive $20 after the election.
