EMTs, FIREFIGHTERS TO WASH CARS, RAISE FUNDS FOR EDUCATIONAL EXPO

Volunteer firefighters from Doña Ana County and emergency medical technicians from American Medical Response ambulance teams will hold a car-wash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2002, at the Jack-in-the-Box restaurant at the corner of Idaho and El Paseo in downtown Las Cruces.

There is no set fee for the car wash, but donations will be accepted. All money raised will go toward funding the upcoming May 18 Law Enforcement and EMT Expo at Apodaca Park. The annual expo showcases many facets of emergency response, and includes car-seat clinics and other community outreach programming.

Residents who wish to contribute to the Expo fund or who want more information about the Expo or the car wash are asked to call Alex at 642-5154.
