MANAGER’S COMPLEX ART EXHIBIT TO BE ROTATED OUT ON FEB. 22, 2002

Time is running out to see the student art show hanging at the Doña Ana County Manager’s Complex.

Mounted last August, the 50-item exhibit comprises paintings, etchings and sculpture in various media by artists from elementary, middle school and high school art classes in the Las Cruces Public Schools. Also included are a few pieces by LCPS art faculty members.

The majority of the artwork is hung in the Manager’s Complex foyer and grand lobby, where it is accessible to the public without appointment during business hours. A few pieces on display in the county manager’s office and the county manager’s conference room require appointments for viewing.

A new and substantially bigger LCPS student/faculty art show will be mounted in the Manager’s Complex on March 1 and will hang until mid-August, 2002.

For more information, call county Public Information Director Jess Williams at (505) 647-7229. Residents calling from outside the Las Cruces area may call toll-free at 1-877-827-7200 and request extension 7229.
