SUBSTANCE ABUSE WORKSHOP SLATED

Do you know that an estimated 14 million Americans aged 12 and over were current illicit drug users in the year 2000?

A workshop, “Building Networks, a Substance Abuse Community Network!” will be held Jan. 9, 2002, at Club Fusion 101 E. Union Ave. in Las Cruces, N.M. from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

All individuals interested in being a positive force in the elimination of substance abuse and violence among our youth are invited to attend.

A nationally acclaimed speaker, sponsored by Border CAPT, will facilitate in the coalition building process. Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) will be provided for Social workers.

Those who RSVP by Jan/ 4 will be provided lunch. This workshop is sponsored by Dona Ana County’s South Central NM Prevention Coalition, Department of Health, Border Health Office, Families & Youth, Inc., and the Recreation Department of the City of Las Cruces.
