LOCAL BLOOD SUPPLIES ARE SHORT; MANAGER’S COMPLEX DRIVE OPEN TO WALK-INS

A blood drive being conducted today at the Doña Ana County Manager’s Complex (180 W. Amador Ave in Las Cruces) is open to all walk-in blood donors up until 2 p.m. today.
United Blood Services personnel are on hand in the lobby and in a nearby Bloodmobile to take donations. There are critical shortages in the Las Cruces area for the following blood types: O-Positive; A-Positive;
O-Negative; A-Negative; B-Negative; and AB-Negative. There is only one unit of O-Positive blood available in the El Paso/Las Cruces region and only four units of O-Negative. There are no units available of B-Negative.
