SECOND-HALF TAX BILLS GO INTO THE MAIL; PAYMENTS DUE BY MAY 10, 2001

The second half of the 2000 property-tax bills have been sent out by the Doña Ana County Treasurer’s Office.
All second-half tax payments are due no later than May 10, 2001. For the public’s convenience, tax payments can be made at any First Security Bank branch in Doña Ana County through May 10, 2001. Although Wells Fargo Bank has taken over First Security Bank, only the former First Security locations are prepared to handle tax transactions.
Payments also can be brought to the Doña Ana County Treasurer’s Office in Room 101 of the Doña Ana County Courthouse at 251 West Amador Ave., Las Cruces, N.M. Residents who prefer to mail their payments should send them to P.O. Box 1179, Las Cruces, N.M., 88004-1179.
All residents are reminded that second-half taxes become delinquent after May 10, 2001. Mailed payments that carry a postmark of May 10, 2001, or sooner will be accepted as timely.
