SPECIAL ETZ MEETING SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY, MAY 9, AT MANAGER’S COMPLEX

A special meeting of the Doña Ana County/Las Cruces Extraterritorial Zoning Commission will be held at 5:15 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2000, in the Doña Ana County Commission Chambers at 251 W. Amador Ave.
The meeting will focus on discussion and public input related to the final draft of the new ETZ Comprehensive Plan, implementation of which will affect all residents living within the five-mile perimeter outside the Las Cruces City Limits.
Copies of the ETZ Comprehensive Plan are available for public review at the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, the NMSU Main Library, the Doña Ana County Clerk’s Office, the Mesilla Town Hall and the county’s Office of Community Development. Residents who wish to buy a copy of the plan may purchase it from Kinko’s Copies on University Avenue. The plan also is available on the Internet at the following address: http://www.co.dona-ana.nm.us/plan/vision2020.html
In addition to the May 9 meeting, the ETZ Commission is accepting written comments through May 15. Written comments should be sent care of Judy Price, Director of Community Development, Doña Ana County Annex, 430 S. Main St., Las Cruces, N.M., 88001.
