MECHANICAL FAILURE MAY IMPACT COUNTY CONVENIENCE STATIONS

Solid-waste convenience stations in Hill, Anthony and Mesquite are likely to suffer long waits while open, as well as early closings for a few weeks. The reason for the operational delays and potential closings is a major mechanical failure of one of the county’s hauling trucks, which is used to service the targeted convenience stations.
Residents who find the Hill, Anthony or Mesquite transfer stations closed or subjected to long waits may utilize any of the county’s other five convenience stations, which are located in La Mesa, Butterfield, La Union, Hatch and Garfield.
For more information on the status of the affected convenience stations, call the Environmental Services Department at (505) 647-7117.
