DUAL-AGENCY MEETING SET TO DISCUSS EAST MESA LOOP ROAD ALIGNMENT

A public information meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum to provide public information and solicit public input about a proposed East Mesa Loop road alignment that would encompass about 17 miles of roadway between the Mesquite interchange on I-10 and the Weisner Road interchange on U.S. 70.
The meeting is sponsored by the Doña Ana County Transportation Department, in conjunction with the federal Bureau of Land Management.
The meeting will provide an opportunity for the project study team to meet with interested residents about the proposal, as well as to discuss ancillary issues such as bicycle and pedestrian usages. The project study team also will answer questions about the upcoming environmental assessment associated with the plan.
The New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum is located at 4100 Dripping Springs Rd., about a half-mile east of the Las Cruces substation of the New Mexico State Police.
