VICTORIA LUSK CERTIFIED AS A ‘PROFESSIONAL IN HUMAN RESOURCES’

Doña Ana County personnel officer Victoria Lusk, who works in the Human Resources Department, has been certified as a “Professional in Human Resources” by the Society for Human Resource Management.

According to Cornelia Cont, director of the Human Resource Certification Institute, Lusk’s certification, dated May 13, 1999, signifies that she “completed an experience evaluation and a rigorous examination of comprehensive knowledge in the field of human resource management.”

“The testing of theoretical knowledge and verification of practical experience are requirements for certification, “Cont said. “Certified personnel professionals have earned the privilege of using the initials after their names, certifying their level of certification.”

The Human Resource Certification Institute is a non-profit certifying organization created for the purpose of maintaining performance standards and increasing the level of professionalism of individuals in the human resources field.

“The key to professional excellence, “Cont said, “is the support of a credentialing program designed to attract the best in the field.”

Lusk is a member of the National Society for Human Resources Management and the Southern New Mexico Society for Human Resources Management. She was hired by the county in April of 1999.
