DOÑA ANA COUNTY SHERIFF TO GO BEHIND BARS TO RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITY

Doña Ana County Sheriff James Robles will surrender himself and serve time behind bars Thursday, Nov. 19, in an attempt to raise money for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The “jail” in which he will serve will be located at Baker-Peet Chrysler-Plymouth on North Main Street. Robles will attempt to raise a minimum of $500 toward “bail money” which will be donated in turn to St. Jude. Although Sheriff Robles is actively involved in raising bail money prior to his incarceration, he said he would welcome further donations on the day of his arrest.
