COMMUNITY FAIR PLANNED ON JULY 13 IN LA UNION

 

            Doña Ana County will host a July 13 Community Fair at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church in La Union from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.. The event is free and open to the public.

           The purpose of the event is to bring services and information into the community and to give constituents an opportunity to interact with county staff.  

            Concession stands will be set up by the church to sell food to both vendors and attendees. The event also will feature raffles, and free children’s books will be given away.

Participating departments include Animal Control and Codes Enforcement, Community and Constituent Services, Engineering and Roads, Fire and Emergency Services, Health and Human Services, Office of Emergency Management, Sheriff’s Department, Vector Control, Assessors Office and Public Information/Special Projects.

The Las Cruces Mobile Vet Center also will be on hand to provide outreach services to eligible veterans and their family members. Other entities scheduled to attend include the NMSU’s Cooperative Extension Service.

            The program has been planned by the Doña Ana County Community and Constituent Services Department. Other community fairs will be planned in other parts of the county.
