INVESTIGATORS SEEK WOMAN WANTED FOR CREDIT CARD FRAUD

Doña Ana County Sheriff’s investigators are asking the public to help identify a woman who allegedly stole several credit cards from a victim who offered to let the woman use her bathroom.

Investigators say on June 3, the victim allowed the woman inside her home and after the suspect used the restroom, the victim noticed her purse and credit cards were missing.

The suspect then reportedly used the credit and debit cards at a local convenience store, a pharmacy, and again at a gas station.

Using surveillance video, investigators have identified the man she was with as 32-year-old William Fontana.

Fontana, who has his name tattooed across his back, reportedly drives a gray 2008 Ford sport utility vehicle with a black right front quarter panel that was also caught on surveillance video.

Anyone with information on the female suspect is asked to call the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office, (575) 525-8810 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can also send a tip via text message to CRIMES (274637) using the keyword LCTIPS.
