LOW-COST SPAY AND NEUTER SERVICES OFFERED IN SUNLAND PARK

LOW-COST SPAY AND NEUTER SERVICES OFFERED IN SUNLAND PARK

Continuing the push toward responsible pet ownership in Doña Ana County, a local non-profit animal advocate organization is offering local residents low-cost spay and neuter appointments in Sunland Park to reduce the number of unwanted puppies and kittens born in the county.

The Coalition for Pets and People is coordinating the effort, through a grant from Doña Ana County. Reservations are being taken for surgeries on Tuesday, June 17, and Tuesday, June 24, in the Sunland Park area.

A $25 co-pay is required, unless the applicant can meet low-income requirements. Vaccinations are an additional $9 and microchips – now required for all dogs and cats in Doña Ana County – are $7. This event is offered to Doña Ana County residents only.

Appointments are on a first-come, first-served basis and are expected to fill up quickly. To reserve an appointment, call (575) 386-9212 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Details on where to take your animals the day of surgery will be given at registration.
