ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Federal Highway Administration Central Federal Lands Highway Division in coordination with Doña Ana County, and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will be hosting a public meeting on June 14, 2017 for the Soledad Canyon Road Improvement Project Environmental Assessment.

This project would provide improvements to Soledad Canyon Road between Dripping Springs Road and the BLM Soledad Canyon Day Use Area Entrance. The project will improve access to federal lands and existing residences and better accommodate bicyclists and pedestrians along the corridor. Proposed improvements include resurfacing of the roadway, widening of the road to include bicycle lanes, drainage improvements, and construction of a multi-use path.

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND THE PUBLIC MEETING?

  • You will learn about the Soledad Canyon Road Improvement Project Environmental Assessment.
  • You can provide insight and input on important issues.
  • You can discuss your experiences  in, and knowledge of, the project area. This can help develop a solution that best meets community needs.
