The American Red Cross is reporting that selected businesses in Hatch - including grocery stores and gasoline stations - are reopening for business today as the community continues to recover from Tuesday’s flooding.

The New Mexico Environment Department reports that crews have repaired water lines that supply the village. The line breaks were between the village’s well and the storage tank, so there was no danger of water line contamination. Tests conducted earlier today confirm the drinking water is safe for human use and consumption.
