The Doña Ana County Bureau of Elections is open for early voting through June 3, in advance of the June 6 Primary Elections. The Bureau of Elections is located in the Doña Ana County Courthouse at 251 W. Amador Ave. in Las Cruces.
The Doña Ana County Detention Center will graduate 13 detention officer cadets on Friday, May 19.
The first phase of Doña Ana County’s move to the new Government Center at 845 N. Motel Blvd. is underway. The building will open to the public at 8 a.m. Friday, May 12. Beginning May 12, public access will be limited to departments that already have relocated and become operational. Additional lobbies and office areas will open on a phased basis, according to the move schedule.

The Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department has arrested Jonathon Morales, 20, of Mesquite, who is charged with three third-degree felony charges of arson, as well as several counts of attempted arson, all related to a series of fires that were reported in the early morning hours of April 17 at three separate dairies off of Stern Drive south of Las Cruces.

A criminal complaint filed today in Doña Ana County Magistrate Court charges Dominic M. Montoya, 29, of Las Cruces with first-degree murder, possession of a deadly weapon by a prisoner and tampering with evidence, all felonies.
