Doña Ana County is seeking applicants willing to serve on the county’s Internal Audit Committee. The committee comprises two county commissioners and three members of the public. Two of the public-sector seats are open for appointment.
The Doña Ana County Planning Department has extended the application deadline for individuals who would like to work on a committee whose mission will be to provide input toward a rewrite of the county’s Extra-territorial Zoning Ordinance.
Staff from the clerk's Bureau of Elections will hold simultaneous expos on Aug. 17 at the Munson Senior Center and on the south lawn of the Doña Ana County Courthouse. Staff will be at the Munson Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. that day, and KVLC 101 Gold Radio will host a live remote broadcast on the Courthouse lawn from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The broadcast will feature Mike McKay and K.C. Combs of 101 Gold’s “Your Morning Show.”
The Doña Ana County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing at 9 a.m., Tuesday, August 9, 2005, to hear input about proposed amendments to the county’s Land Use Regulations and Zoning Ordinance (No. 158-95). The hearing will be held in conjunction with the regular Commission meeting in the County Courthouse at 251 W. Amador Ave. in Las Cruces.
