The Doña Ana County Planning and Zoning Commission will consider the following land use cases on the agenda at their regular meeting to be held on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 9:00 a.m., in the County Commissioner’s Chambers at Doña Ana County Government Center, 845 N. Motel Boulevard, Las Cruces, New Mexico.

OLD BUSINESS
PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT

3. Case# PUD 06-002: Submitted by Ralph Richards, a request for a Planned Unit Development Overlay Zone Type 2 for the purpose of constructing a warehouse facility that will distribute construction materials and agricultural products. A new railroad spur is proposed to serve this facility. The parcel is approximately 21.11-acres in size and is located at intersection of New Mexico Highway 478 and Harding Road, and is located in T 26S, R 3E, Section 15, Map Code 4-016-153-180-158.

4. Case # PUD03-008 MAJOR AMENDMENT: Submitted by Helena Chemical Company, a request for a Major Site Plan Amendment to Case # PUD 03-008. The applicant is proposing to add: a Truck Scale (12’ X 65’ Platform Type); Large Liquid Fertilizer Storage Tank Area (1,000,000 gallons); Dry Fertilizer Building Truck Loadout; Telone II EC Tank Farm; and Fertilizer Blending Area Shed Cover to reduce the risk of a spill impact on the area if a spill were to occur. The subject property is located at 100 Santa Barbara, Mesquite NM and is further identified as being in T 25S, R 2E, Section 1, Map Code # 4-012-145-143-344.

5. Case # CV 07-001: Submitted by George Lozano, a request a Variance to minimum road standards within the Performance District. Doña Ana County Land Use Regulations and Zoning Ordinance requires 50’ of right of way, or 30’ based on an approved road surface analysis performed by a licensed Engineer. The applicant is proposing 20’ from Vista Elegante to Camunez Road without improvements Claim of Exemption. The 3.18-acre property is located at 2 Vista Elegante in T 25S, R 2E, Section 10 and can be further identified by Map Code # 4-010-146-304-051.
