5. CASE#SU05-020/DEL BOZQUE: The applicant, Jeronimo Del Bozque, is requesting a Special Use Permit for an accessory living quarters under a medical hardship. The property is a 1.07-acre parcel and is zoned ER3M (Residential, 1.0-acre minimum new lot size, single-family site-built and mobile homes). The parcel is located at 9400 Hondo Road, Las Cruces NM, and can be further identified by Map Code# 4-015-126-016-285. Case#SU05-020 was tabled on December 15, 2005.

6. CASE#SU05-022/DELK: The applicant, Joe Delk, is requesting a Special Use Permit to allow accessory living quarters for his elderly father-in-law. The subject parcel is 2.0 acres and includes a 3,000sf site-built home, 1,395sf accessory building, and a 3,131sf barn used for storing seed. The proposed accessory living quarters is 644sf to be attached to existing site-built home. The parcel is zoned ER3M (Residential, 1.0-acre minimum lot size, single-family site-built and mobile homes). The subject parcel is located at 235 E. Forest Road, Mesilla NM and can be further identified by Map Number 4-009-140-516-325.

7. CASE#SU05-023/SAPIEN: The applicants, Claude and Elizabeth Sapien, are requesting a Special Use Permit to allow an other land use as a Cottage Industry under Section 3.6.C.15 of the ETZ Zoning Ordinance. The other land use will be the operation of Sun City Builders. The subject parcel is 5.01 acres and includes a 2,914sf site-built home, a 2,000sf accessory building to be used for storage and office space, and 1,350sf of canopy/accessory building for storing alfalfa. The parcel is zoned ER3M (Residential, 1.0-acre minimum lot size, single-family site-built and mobile homes). The subject parcel is located at 4141 Stryker Road, Las Cruces NM and can be further identified by Map Number 4-008-139-085-105.

8. CASE#Z05-011/CHAVEZ: The applicant, Eddie Chavez, is requesting a Zone Change on 91.46-acres (three parcels) from ER3M (Residential, min. lot size one (1) acre, single-family, site-built and mobile homes) and EC1 (Neighborhood Commercial) to EC1 (Neighborhood Commercial), EC2 (Community Commercial), ER3 (Residential, min. lot size 1.0-acre, single-family, site-built homes), and ER7 (Residential, 5,000sf min.lot size, no individual septic systems allowed). The Zone Change request is to acquire appropriate zoning for the development of a 32-lot subdivision, mixed uses, and commercial development along Peter Hurd Road. The subject parcels are located east of Las Alturus Road and south of Peter Hurd Road and can be further identified by Map Code Numbers 4-010-139-503-406, 4-010-139-527-354, and 4-011-139-079-395.

9. CASE#Z05-012/MORROW-COHORN: The applicants, The Morrows and Cohorns, are requesting a Zone Change on 10.06 acres (five parcels) from ER3 (Residential, min. lot size 1.0-acre, single-family, site-built homes) to EI2 (General Industrial District, wide variety of industrial uses). The subject parcels contain a 2,008sf site-built office, 780sf accessory building, and a 1,710sf manufactured home to be used as a watchmen’s dwelling. The Zone Change request is to acquire appropriate zoning for the expansion of an industrial use (Concrete and Paving Business). The subject parcels are located east of I25 and north and just south of Tecolote Trail and can be further identified by Map Code Numbers 4-006-130-321-418, 4-006-130-297-383, 4-006-130-280-392, 4-006-130-275-346, and 4-006-130-255-361.

10. CASE#Z05-013/MOLINA: The applicant, Jesus Molina, is requesting a Zone Change on 1.08 acres (three parcels) from ER2 (Residential, min. lot size 2.0-acre, single-family, site-built homes) to EC2 (Community Commercial). The Zone Change request is to acquire appropriate zoning to allow the expansion and future operation of Tunies Automotive Repair Service. The subject parcels contain numerous accessory buildings, the proprietor’s residence, and a rental property. The subject parcels are located at 145 San Ysidro Road, Las Cruces NM and can be further identified by Map Code Numbers 4-006-132-108-130, 4-006-132-120-133, and 4-006-132-107-140.
