Doña Ana County

A man wanted on charges that he gave alcohol to two teenage sisters – and allegedly sexually assaulted one of the girls – has turned himself in to Doña Ana County Sheriff’s investigators.

Marcos Anthony Moncayo, who goes by Tony, was accompanied by family members when he surrendered to investigators at the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Department at 845 N. Motel Boulevard Thursday night just before 7 p.m.

The surrender was negotiated through his attorney.
Moncayo was subsequently booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on a $100,000 cash bond, charged with ten felony counts, including criminal sexual penetration in the third degree, criminal sexual contact of a minor in the third degree, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, conspiracy to commit selling or giving alcohol to a minor, conspiracy to commit criminal sexual penetration of a minor in the third degree and conspiracy to contribute to the delinquency of a minor.

According to court documents, Moncayo and another unidentified male met two 14-year-old twin sisters at their home on Moongate Road last weekend.

The girls told investigators they met the men on a social networking website and had originally claimed to be 20 years old, but reportedly confessed to Moncayo that they were underage.

On Jan. 12, investigators allege the men went to the home, gave the girls alcohol and then Moncayo allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with one of the girls.

Investigators are still looking for the other man who was allegedly with Moncayo.
