A notice is hereby given that Dona Ana County will receive Sealed Bid(s) and/or Request for Proposal(s) at the Office of the Dona Ana Purchasing Department, Room 350, (3rd Floor of former Courthouse) 251 W. Amador, Las Cruces, NM 88005-2898, 505/647-7279 prior to the appointed hour (local time) for the public openings listed below, at which time the bids/proposals will be recorded as received. Specifications for said bid/request for proposal are available at the above address. Any bid/proposal received after the closing time will be returned unopened.

RFP 06-0057: Sale of County Buildings. Bid Opening: March 1, 2006 at Dona Ana County 2 p.m. local time.

Doña Ana County Facilities & Parks Department is pleased to offer this opportunity for interested parties to respond to a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the purchase of Doña Ana County Buildings. Sealed proposals are hereby solicited from private, non-profit, or government entities for the purchase of the following Doña Ana County Buildings:

Doña Ana County Courthouse at 251 W. Amador

Doña Ana County Managers Complex at 180 W. Amador
Doña Ana County Health and Human Services Building at 125 W. Boutz Road

Doña Ana County Human Resources Building at 400 S. Main Street

Doña Ana County Annex at 430 S. Main Street.

Minimum Bids
The following are minimum bids that will be considered for the respective buildings. Any bid under the listed minimum bid amount will be considered non responsive and will be rejected. Each bid shall contain an earnest money deposit equivalent to one (1) percent of the bid. The earnest money deposit on the successful bid(s) is non-refundable, however, it will be applied towards purchase price (bid) on the property at closing. All earnest money received from unsuccessful bidders will be returned.

Doña Ana County Courthouse. Minimum Bid Amount One Million Dollars ($1,000,000)
Doña Ana County Manager’s Complex. Minimum Bid Amount Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($700,000)

Doña Ana County Health and Human Services Building. Minimum Bid Amount Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($700,000)
Doña Ana County Human Resources Building. Minimum Bid Amount Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000)
Doña Anna County Annex. Minimum Bid Amount Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000)

Doña Ana County will sell the buildings on an “AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH ALL FAULTS” basis, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Inspection period. Doña Ana County will allow potential bidders, at bidder’s election and expense, to obtain inspection(s) of the buildings. All inspections will be conducted on or before February 28, 2006 and may include, but are not limited to, physical inspection, environmental, soil, surveys, and review of maintenance documents held by Doña Ana County. Such inspections will be coordinated through the Doña Ana County Facilities and Parks Department Manager, 505-647-7156.
