Doña Ana County



Doña Ana County is seeking information on available lots of land upon which a new county administrative headquarters might be built within or adjacent to the City of Las Cruces.

The county published a request for information on July 13. Information packets will be accepted through Aug. 13, 2003.

The county is interested in hearing from Realtors, agencies, private individuals and land holding companies who have plots that would meet or exceed the county’s minimum requirements. Those requirements are as follows: 1) Location must be within or adjacent to the City of Las Cruces; 2) The minimum lot size must be 12 acres (if larger than 12 acres, then 12 acres must be located outside the 100-year flood plain); 3) The lot must be accessible to major roads and/or highways; 4) The lot must have ready access to all utilities (water, sewer, electricity, cable television, natural gas and fiber optics.

All packets must include a description of the lot’s current zoning, along with an address and legal description (if available), size of the lot, a site map, any applicable liens, the sale price and the appraised value (if available).

Information packets may be sent to the Doña Ana County Purchasing Department at 251 W. Amador Ave., Las Cruces, N.M. 88001, Room 350. Prospective respondents who have questions about the request for information are invited to a public informational meeting at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, on the third floor of the Doña Ana County Courthouse.
