Practice: Physical Agility Test

  • Introduction: The Practice PAT is a good introduction to anyone who may be interested in becoming a firefighter or anyone who just likes a good physical challenge.

The Practice Physical Agility Test (PAT) is designed to simulate tasks performed by Firefighters and EMTs during emergency situations and to evaluate the performance of each task. The PAT is open to the public; anyone age 18 and over, at no cost. 

 

Three opportunities to take the practice PAT will be offered at the Doña Ana County Fire & Rescue Department at 1430 Portland Drive in Las Cruces for anyone age 18 or older at no cost. Waivers must be signed on-site and participants should dress in athletic attire. You may attend one, or all practice PATs: 

  • Thursday, Nov. 9 at 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 11 at 2:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, Nov. 12 at 10:00 a.m.
