Community Development staff will host an informational meeting at Colquitt Park, 625 Paseo Real Drive at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, to provide a project update about a 3-mile extension to the multiuse trail on East Lisa Drive, in Chaparral.
Residents will view the trail’s design and have an opportunity to ask questions and provide comments.
The existing trail along East Lisa Drive is used by pedestrians, joggers and cyclists. It services a long corridor of schools, assembly spaces and commercial properties. The planned 3-mile extension will double its length and connect it to Paseo Real Drive, at County Line Drive, making schools, businesses and other properties easier to access, for more Chaparral residents.
Slated for completion by mid-March, the design of the Paseo Real Drive and County Line Drive multiuse trail, set along property lines is on-schedule. Construction is projected to begin by June.
